Our Philosophy

We believe that as a ‘smaller’ home where residents and staff alike are truly seen as individuals  we have the best opportunity to fulfil our philosophy:-

“To provide a warm friendly environment where residents will be happy and comfortable, and be able to maintain their independence to ensure a good quality of life.”

” We believe that Care is at its best when it is tailored to meet the needs and preferences of each individual.  Consequently the wishes and needs of each individual are of paramount importance and all our care is centred on this belief.”

“We recognise that to meet our philosophy that we really have to get to know each unique individual, and by doing so we have the opportunity to provide them with the quality of care that they deserve. This can  manifests itself in many ways whether which can be often overlooked e.g.  by taking into account the individual preferences in relation to the excellent homemade food that is offered, or the schedule of regular activities and entertainment provided to name a few.”

” We endeavour to ensure that any services required by  a resident are convenient and accessible whether it is hairdressing, chiropody, opticians, all of whom visit on a regular basis, which not only assists a resident to ensure their needs are being met but just as importantly can reduce the anxiety which can accompany the need for an appointment  .”

” Central to our philosophy is the recognition of “each individual” and this  doesn’t only recognise the needs of each and every resident but also recognises the fact that if we are to meet the high standards that we set our self it comes down to the professionalism and caring nature of our “team”. We are committed to investing in our team , and we consider ourselves fortunate not only to have well trained staff but also caring staff”

We would genuinely welcome you to meet and talk to those who we care for, so you can see if we achieve our aims.
